Psalm 127:3
Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
Some friends recently welcomed their second child into the world, and the picture above is from the shower for her. What a blessing their child already has been, and I for one am excited to know her, her paernts, and pray I am able to see where God leads her life.
Each night as I hug and kiss my child goodnight and hear her say, "I love you Mommy," I am reminded of how much God loves me. Regardless of whether she and I have had a day filled with giggles and playing or disagreements and punishments, we always end with hugs and "I love you." It is the same way with my Savior. No matter how far I have strayed, how closely I have stayed, whether or not I have prayed, I end my day knowing he too is saying, "I love you."
My little one said tonight, "God wanted you to be my mommy and me to be your daughter. Yep, that's what God wanted." And God knew, of course he knew, how often my daughter would point me to Him.
