WFW Micah 6:8

WFW Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

I love staircases, and doors and doorways. They all indicate a path to somewhere else. A change in scenery, in direction, in challenges, in triumphs. The staircase in the picture above is from the Herodium. While Herod the Great was one messed up individual, the man was a gifted architect.

When I sit and wonder what I should be doing, all I need is to turn to Micah 6:8.  How do I handle a situation?  Act justly.  How do I treat others?  Love mercy.  What should my attitude be?  Walk humbly, with God.  There is no need for me to blaze new trails, as the ones He has set before me will assure my steps, my direction, my landing.  That is what He requires of me.

Visiting from Word-filled Wednesday - good thoughts. I like your last paragraph - practical thoughts on applying Micah 6:8.
