WLW - Iron, B12, and $100
I went to a new doctor last week. Let me tell you, that was one of the finer decisions I have made as of late. I told her how I'd been feeling, how I wasn't seeing some changes I wanted, and that based on how I workout and how I keep track of my nutrition, nothing was adding up. In addition, I was more tired than I should be. Not only did she listen, she was rather comical, and she agreed we needed to do some tests.
Today I found out that 1) my iron is too low and I need to take an iron supplement, 2) my folate and B12 levels are too high. Well, ok then. I should be getting a letter with actual levels and recommendations, I believe, so I know what my requirements are. Because of how those three nutrients work together, I find it odd that one is low while the others are high. Welcome to my world, as confusing as they come. HA! I am just happy to be working with someone who will actually investigate everything. Whew.
So, internally is going to get balanced out, my nutrition is pretty good (going to revert back to cutting out sugar), my workouts are fabulous and have actually been raised a notch, and while training has slowed down, I am finding more people who simply need to be encouraged in taking care of themselves.
