5 women - 36 meals - 9 hours = my day today.
I spent my day helping some women from church prepare meals for families about to have a child. I never knew cooking was such hard work. Then again, the woman who put together the recipes is a personal chef. Me? I am not.
The day was filled with laughter, lots or preparation, lots of cooking (boy it got hot in that house), and all meals are packaged and ready to go. The families receiving these are in for such a wonderful blessing!
Pictures of the day to come later; I must finish getting ready because a friend is having his book signing tonight. Hooray!
I'm just hoping I make it through the night without falling over because I sure didn't get a nap in today.

What a fun project, though probably not the one for me.
I am a horrible cook. I'm like Charlie Brown in his Thanksgiving special:
Charlie: I can't make a Thanksgiving dinner! I can't cook at all! Well, I can make cold cereal and toast. What am I going to do?
Linus: You can make toast, but you don't know how to butter it. But that's what your friends are here for. We can help.
That pretty much illustrates my cooking skills: cereal and toast, and a little hand from my friend, hamburger helper.
