Friday Night Fun & Saturday Treat

Friday night, we were invited over for a dinner cooked by an actual chef. Our friends, John and Jen, one this delightful treat while attending a "Home Show." Woo-hoo! So glad they asked us over. It was a treat to watch everything be fixed, the guy was hysterical, and we got to share the evening with friends we haven't seen in entirely too long. As always, it was so good to see them and spend time with them. And the food? Delicious! The menu was: spinach lasagna, mixed vegetables, cole slaw, and pineapple upside down cake. YUMMY!


It was so good. The chef is with a company that sells the cookware he used, which is incredible. So, we will be having him at our house to cook for us and 4 of our friends. I cannot wait! So, despite Jen not feeling very well that evening and me having moments of nausea, it was such a fun evening. Thanks for inviting us!

Saturday, Andy and I headed up to meet some friends for lunch. It was, again, great fun. We haven't seen Mickey and Denise since last December, so it was nice to be able to sit and chat with them. Plus, their youngest accompanied them and he's adorable. Denise was kind enough to bring some maternity items for me, and we will be getting some baby furniture from them. Praise the Lord! They have EXACTLY what I have been looking at and wanting, so I'm so thankful they didn't sell these items in a garage sale they had. (talk about God's provisions!) Besides, it will be a good excuse to see them again. Yippee!

All in all, the weekend was filled with wonderful fellowship with sweet friends whom we do not get to see as much as we like. I love those moments.
