Pregnancy, oh the joys....
First of all, I can't remember squat (CRS)! A lovely lady in the fitness class I co-lead on informed me it will only get worse. Great. Can't wait because there is nothing I love more than a ditzy girl (ha ha ha). It's frustrating to not only have my body taken over, but my mind too? Really?!?! Must it be all consuming? Oh well, at least it makes for many comical moments.
I have gained no weight, but only 2-3 pounds are supposed to be gained in the first trimester. When in the first trimester, I just don't know. I am not complaining however. Although, I did tell Andy it will be fun to have a belly, and it be a good thing for once...my statement kind of shocked him I think. Being a personal trainer though, I'm feeling pressure to not put on too much weight and to maintain muscle tone. Because, you know, being pregnant with one's first child doesn't bring on enough worries of its own.
Tonight, I asked Andy to go get me some Sour Cream 'n' Onion chips to go with the PB&J sandwich I would be making myself for dinner. His response? "What's this? A craving?" I replied with, "No, that just sounds good to go with my sandwich." Something that sounds good, that I wanted, while being pregnant....hmmm, maybe it was a craving (I blame hormones for my lack of brain power right now).
So, this wonderful journey of neverending twists and turns continues on, for which I am thankful. My first doctor's appointment is Tuesday, which really is exciting me. We're just praying all is well, and continues to go well from here on out.
Speaking of which, some dear friends of ours are expecting their first child at the end of November. The doctors have found some heart problems with their little one, so please pray for a complete, miraculous healing...which God is more than capable of.

The first appointment is exciting and nerve racking. Don't be panicked when they try to hear the heartbeat and can't get anything...very common at this stage if no one has told you that. I remember freaking out in my mind while the Dr. searched for a heartbeat without success! There were no problems though, just too small still to get it on the doppler. In fact, with all 3 of my pregnancies they couldn't hear the heartbeat at the first appointment and all 3 went fine!
Thank you for the tip, and words of reassurance. A friend told me today that it's also good I don't always feel well, a sign things are going as they should. Funny how something like that can be so encouraging.
I would say all 3 turned out well, your kids are adorable! :)
Chelle,
Funny you should mentioned PBJ, early in my pregnancy I would make it for lunch because the thought of lunch meat made me want to vomit...however, from about mid-pregnancy to the very end I was having a PBJ sandwich EVERY morning for breakfast with a piece of fruit and then another one at some point through out the day. either for afternoon snack or dinner...at the time I didn't view it as a craving, it was just that nothing else sounded good.. :)
So I am with ya on the PBJ..it has helped many o'preggos....
LOL
