It is getting HOT kids, very hot here in the South! Granted, we aren't hitting triple digits yet, but with the humidity here, ICK! It's supposed to be in the 90s this weekend, and I'm determined to not spend a lot of time outside. So there!
Joel arrived Tuesday night, and it's always fun to have him around. He's in and out for a songwriter's festival, but the time we do get to spend with him is always enjoyable. He's just cool like that.
Andy and I actually had a date night last night! Typically, we do not go out on Fridays, though I'm not sure how or why that has happened. But, last night, we broke from the norm and went out on a date. We ate at Which Wich; we have tried to go there twice before but it was always entirely too crowded for our growling bellies. After dinner, we went and saw Fantastic Four. It's a fun little movie, not to be taken seriously, and one to be enjoyed for comic book fans. Some parts were a bit too hokey (or would that be hokie?) for me, but it was only 86 minutes of our evening, so oh well. All in all, it was a fun evening.
Today we're off to a mixer for AdvoCare then to hear our friend Reco sing, which is always a blessing. Basically, we are doing all indoor activities to try to keep from melting away! What simple, happy lives we lead.
