The great mystery of life
I have the honor of taking care of my friend Stacey's 4 girls for the next three days. Yesterday, as I was caring for the youngest two while the two older ones were at a day camp, I was asked, "What's that on you?" This sweet 5 yr. old little girl was pointing to the freckles on my arm. I told her what they are to which she responded, "Have you tried washing? Maybe some water will help you." I about fell out of my chair laughing. Being an African American family, I guess they have not encountered too many white folks with freckles. The best I could do was tell her God just decided I needed spots the same way He decided she needed darker skin. Isn't God's diversity grand?
